Peony Festival
Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 4 p.m. - 6p.m.
This annual favorite invites the public to tour the historic grounds and enjoy our extensive collection of over 50 varieties of peonies, one of springtime's most loved flowers.  The alluringly fragrant blooms and lush foliage of the peony create an enchanting effect in the garden, and as a cut flower, there is simply no equal!  This event is free and open to the public.

Just in time for Mother's Day, a number of peonies will be offered for sale, including old-fashioned varieties and those grown at the notable Klehm's Song Sparrow Farm in rural Avalon, Wisconsin.  Additionally, Whitehall's team of expert gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions about the many featured varieties and how to best care for the peony.

Moveable Feast
Saturday, June 21, 2008, 7 p.m.
The Moveable Feast is a delightful opportunity to celebrate the first day of summer and support Whitehall House & Gardens!  This dining adventure will begin with delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails at Whitehall where guests' names are drawn to select the homes of their dinner destinations.  Volunteers generously open their homes and host individual dinner parties in support of this fund-raiser for our historic home.  Not knowing where you will dine is all part of the fun, but groups of 6 or fewer may be drawn together.  We're thrilled to announce that this year's event features an extra special treat:  decadent desserts, champagne and the sassy sounds of jazz trio Swing 39 at historic Rostrevor mansion!

Tickets are $100/person.  For more information or to make your reservation, please contact Whitehall at (502) 897-2944 or whitehall@historichomes.org

Remember you can book Whitehall for your own special event!
