Whitehall House & Gradens Presents
The Annual Fall Plant Sale
Sunday, September 13, 2009
Whitehall House & Gardens is pleased to announce that it will host its annual Fall Plant Sale on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of historic Whitehall, 3110 Lexington Road. This year’s sale will feature a variety of trees, shrubs and perennials, and fall is the optimum time to put into the grounds all of the plants offered. This is a terrific opportunity to replenish lost trees and other plants lost due to the wind and ice storms of the past year.
Trees and shrubs offered for sale will include purple beauty berries, black gums, weeping mimosas, evergreen Chinese dogwoods, dwarf tulip poplars, and variegated, Red Rage and Wild Fire black gums; perennials offered for sale will include daffodils, woodland flowers, ferns and peony roots.
The Plant Sale is free and open to the public, and guests are welcome to explore and enjoy the gardens of Whitehall during the event. Please note that no plants may be held or sold before 1 p.m. Proceeds from plant sales benefit Whitehall. For more information, please contact Whitehall at (502) 897-2944 or whitehall@historichomes.org.
Remember you can book Whitehall for your own special
event!
