Additional Activities for School Groups
(Non-School Offering Site Experience)

Quill Pen Writing
Students will learn about the importance of letter writing in learning about history, as well as the differences in how we write today versus writing in the 19th century. Students will experience using a quill pen by writing what they learned about Abraham Lincoln during their visit to Farmington.

Scavenger Hunt
A Farmington Plantation Exploration button will be awarded to the first two students with the most correct answers to our nine question Scavenger Hunt.

Old Fashioned Games
An opportunity for students to take part in 19th century games including hoop races and quoits.

Cornhusk Dolls
Students will make their very own cornhusk doll, which they are able to take home with them.

Cost: $1.00/student in addition to the cost of any other education program
